17. The Cracow "On the Dam" Bridge is among the four ones running on hydrotechnical constructions. Opened in 1960 as then the fourth Cracow bridge, connects huge southern residential districts with those bordering old Cracow and the industrial district of Nowa Huta. Residents of those southern areas could use the bridge as a throughway towards exits on Warsaw and Silesia. Not used for transit purposes, one of the least busy bridges in Cracow. Length 220 m. Curiously enough, does not have an official name. The surrounding areas do not look urban at all - the landscape around resembles rather a somewhat organised countryside.
