The dramatic glass walkway being built more than 1,200m above the floor of Grand Canyon will open on 28 March 2007, it has been announced. The Skywalk will cantilever out more than 21m from the rim. Visitors will pay US on top of the Grand Canyon West entrance fee and up to 120 people will be allowed on the structure at a time. They will be issued with special shoes to prevent scratches and slipping. Jacking and rolling of the steel and glass structure will start in late February.
