The structural height is approximately 4 meters and the two pylons rise about 45 meters above the A1 motorway.
In 2024, the bridge was demolished. On August 29, 2024, a serious accident occurred during the demolition work: At 8:10 a.m., the last supporting cable broke free from its securing device and crashed onto the cab of the mobile crane involved. One person was killed and four others were injured, some seriously. Traffic on the parallel new bridge was closed because of the risk that the mobile crane could tip over onto the roadway. A large contingent of firefighters was involved in the rescue and safety operations. Traffic on the new bridge could not be reopened until 5:32 p.m.
