The bridge has a total length of 356 m, a width of 10.50 m, and a clearance of 6 m. It was built in 1913 and blown up by French engineers in 1940 during the German advance in World War II. It was quickly repaired but destroyed again by American bombers in 1944. It was rebuilt in 1946 and carries two railway tracks.
