Built in 1847/48, relating to the new ditch rock cellar and Eulswaag, it served traffic between Solingen and Remscheid until 1963 and vice versa, but finally no longer grew this. For ten years, from 1963 to 1973, the transport ran so over a temporary bridge, which belonged respectively to the half of the city of Solingen and the city Remscheid and was replaced by the current concrete bridge.
